ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Given the multi-disciplinary nature of this project, a variety of stakeholders are involved in the master planning process. A Master Plan Advisory Committee was formed bringing together individuals with a stake in the future of Providence and ProvPort. This group, composed of individuals with diverse skills and knowledge, represents a variety of interests and viewpoints associated with ProvPort that can support a successful master plan. The committee includes city councilors from wards 10 and 11, community representatives, institutional stakeholders, and local businesses.

COMMUNITY AT LARGE

Given the goals and parameters of the project, the engagement of the public is integral to the success of this process. There will be multiple opportunities for Providence residents to add feedback and insights into this process. Public meetings will encourage participation from diverse voices, including representation from the neighborhoods of South Providence and Washington Park.
